Save “Chinglish”!

EXPO 2010. Just before the world exposition 2010 in Shanghai the Chinese want to eliminate all mistakes in translations in their signage and menus. In my opinion this is a shame! What can we do to protect the following advices and suggestions?


"If you are stolen, call the police at once"

"No entry on peacetime" (means "Emergency exit")

"Please bump your head carefully!"

"Welcome once more the Presence"

"Little grass has life, please watch your step" (my favourite)

"Have a dog"

"Crap eggs with bamboo flavor"

“Husband and wife lung slice"

"Saliva Chicken"

"Dishes with human pickles"
